Carter loves the outdoors as do many other cats; contrary to popular belief. There are benefits to taking your cat outside. For one, if your kitty were to ever get out on its own, he/she would know their way back home. Also, when your cat is accustomed to going out, it is much less of a hassle to get your cat out safely in case of emergency, or just for a quick visit to the vet. Ultimately, going outside can be an enriching experience for your cat; especially if you let him/her explore. But remember to always have a proper-fitting harness with an accompanying leash, as cats can climb high and get stuck in places such as trees. Also, start off slow. Patience is the key at getting a cat to adjust to new things.
